The one place I would always enjoy visiting and possibly living at would be Hawaii. I have gone there almost every year since I was about two years old. I enjoy everything; even the smallest things such as walking off the place and having that wave of heat hit your body. The smell of the air is addicting. Everything about it makes it such a nice place. There is almost no crime, everyone is laid back, no one honks their horn not only because it is kind of illegal on the island but because no one gets impatient. If you don’t notice the green light until five seconds later, no one really cares sine no one is in a rush.
The food there is amazing, all the fish is fresh and is brought in that morning by the fishermen. I enjoy sitting on the beach sipping a pina colada and enjoying the view of the water meeting the horizon. I enjoy the nature of the island, chickens and roosters roam freely throughout the streets and forests fearless of the humans. They have nothing to fear since everyone is friendly. They locals enjoy conversing with the tourists and telling them of good beach locations and places to visit. I enjoy hiking in the mountains where you can overlook an entire bay. I think the beaches there are some of the nicest ones I have ever been to. The water there is actually blue, unlike the ones you see in California where they have that strange brown murky color. And when you swim, you could actually see more than 3 feet, in fact you can see the bottom when you’re at a 30 feet depth. Also, most of the beaches have fish swimming near the shore. There is this one beach of which I really love. It has an abundance of fish and a sand island a little ways off the shore of which you can swim to and just chill there for a while. It’s fun because on the small island there are different kinds of wildlife to explore.
When it rains, no one uses an umbrella since no one cares of getting wet. It’s just water right? Also the rain feels nice, with the heat and humidity it feels like a warm shower. One thing I don’t like about Hawaii is the constant use of sunblock and getting sun burnt. But I guess the trade off for the nice climate and this is good.
I would prefer being in Hawaii right now myself. Love of you captured the relaxed atmosphere there.
